SCD bread recipe using coconut flour


I cannot wait to play around with variations too.my loaves always turn out about 1.5 to 2″ thick despite following directions to a tee, getting egg whites nice and fluffy etc. My loaf rose but fell a little after cooling, maybe I need to whip the whites more or bake it longer? This is the first gluten-free bread recipe I try and I must say it’s good as toast for breakfast with sweet toppings (I had it with caramel, witch is not paleo at all! ) If it tastes good, then that’s what matters!

My coconut flour bag says 2 Tablespoons is 15 grams, so I just used 11.25 grams and I did have pour able batter. My wife and I had them as buns for a burger. Does anyone know why this happened?

My cashew butter mixture was pretty thick so it never got batter like.

Not sure what I did wrong… or maybe my baking powder has lost its zing. Thank you! My soon to be 4yr old son is Autistic and a very, very picky eater… I’m hoping he will eat this bread. It is tricky, but many of my recipes are quite easy. I’ve made my fair share of really good gluten-free breads, but all have contained yeast, and my body doesn’t like a lot of yeast. I cannot wait to try this recipe with cashew butter when I’m maintaining weight!! I hate dieting but this looks like a doable option for me.I just made the flatbread again. I have used tahini and almond butter both to good effect.Use baking powder instead of soda (may need to use a little more, 1.5 tsp maybe) Use twice as much lemon juice as baking powder, and your sunflower seed baked goods will not turn green.Can you make it without eggs, with egg substitute or flax seed?Which almond milk do you use? This is the first bread I’ve ever made and it was PERFECT! !I’m trying new recipes with coconut flour and this seemed easy enough but it didn’t rise much, I’m understanding that’s why you use baking soda.
