I Recommend This Course Conditions (fairways and rough) are improved from then. Scorecard for Southern Pines There is some water on the course that could be beautiful if it is cleaned up. I was told to be there before 8 am and I could join the group that would be going out then. The memories were not of my scores but of the way I was recieved in the pro shop, by those who I played with and the course itself.

I had hoped to return again however with the Covid-19 virus I'm not sure if that will happen any time soon.

The greens rolled pretty true, but a bit on the slow side.Our group all agreed this is definitely worth a visit if you're on a budget in the Sandhills.

I really look forward to the rebuilding of this Donald Ross Treasure. The cart paths need repairing, a number of drainage/erosion issues need attention, and many areas just off the fairways need manicuring/mowing/cleaning up. My round was not worth $55 considering i can play several other course for the same price with a higher caliber. When I arrived I found out that the group consisted of approximately 20 golfers and we were split up by the organizer, an 80 year old gentleman who I wound up play with. 95 degrees out and no access to anything to drink. I wouldn’t play at Southern Pines again until they lower their price or until they renovate the course.

This course is not in nearly the same shape as the top courses in the area, but for the price, the beauty, the challenge, and the fun, I'd play it again for sure.This course was in good shape and the greens were great. 290 Country Club Cir, Southern Pines, North Carolina 28387, Moore County It was AWESOME! When we came in we were directed to the members locker room where tables were set up with a picture of a libation and the remainder of the $2.00 was split up amoungst the top three groups. That trip I played Southern Pines twice and had, and still have many fond memories of those two rounds. Conditions right now are as good as they have been in this time.
