Ever since moving from Alabama to Georgia, Coweta County schools has a special place in my heart. One thing I believe needs fixing is the divide between the students in the magnet programs and the regular students.
I was able to met new people and find different ways to challenge myself and the people around me. We aren’t perfect, but we work hard and care about every kid in our system. As a student of Fayette County Public Schools for 7 years at Rising Starr Middle School and Starr's Mill High School, I spent lots of time in the school system.
Our county has beautiful schools and the facilities are far above any other school we traveled too for athletics. Anyone can be prejudice based on the physical appearance of our high school; it's exterior not the most attractive thing this 68-year old building has to offer. My teachers were respectful and taught me life lessons beyond the class curriculum. The teachers, coaches and counselors are all wonderful. Overall good job to everyone!My overall experience with Cherokee county schools has been enjoyable. They are always willing to help those of us that are willing and wanting to help ourselves. The school put on 2 musicals this year, as well as 2 straight plays. Campbell High School is a place where I was not only able to grow intellectually, but emotionally. Something to consider...My school has a great family atmosphere, great athletics, dedicated teachers and friendly environment. We had 3 kids go through all levels and all 3 graduated from South Forsyth HS. Some of my favorite things include the diversity, the teachers, and the programs. She helped me find which colleges would work best for me, and encouraged me to have reach schools and look beyond the state of Georgia. It would be nice if the school did better on that part.I think that Gwinnett County Public Schools are exceptional.
One child is already a doctor (pediatrician), one is 2 nd year medical student and one is a first year dental student. In high school, I got held back a year because of being in the hospital dealing with various health problems. With being a Mighty Trojan comes responsibility such as withholding a good attitude, have the best academics possible and to be as involved as possible.
Some straight A students who have never gotten in trouble and have ISS for tardies I think it’s ridiculous.
Our daughter was ahead of the curve at her last school in California so we were looking for a language school to enhance her educational portfolio and keep her engaged in school, well ICSA did just that!
On thing I am very proud of this county for is their magnet programs. Over the course of 5 years, I’ve realized how blessed I am to have such a supportive school system.
